In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 66) one may find this joy-inspiring statement: "Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love." Since the acceptance of the teachings of Christian Science as the truth, following each effort made to become obedient to the demands of divine Principle as clearly stated therein, there have indeed been evidenced in my experience "new views of divine goodness and love."

The study of Christian Science was undertaken to ascertain what solution it could give to what then seemed to me to be the great enigma of existence; and soon thereafter a more spiritual view of all things was obtained, and with it came a healing from severe catarrhal colds, which I had experienced each winter since childhood. Soon after this, without specific attention given, glasses, used for study, were found to be no longer needed. Since then, I am certain that Christian Science has been a safeguard against illness, since in any need which has arisen God's healing presence has been proved sufficient to meet it. Seasickness has been prevented during rough storms in mid-ocean, and suggestions of fear and pain have many times been silenced.

The "scientific line of demarcation between Truth and error" (Science and Health, p. 586), that Mrs. Eddy has so clearly drawn for us in her writings, has been a source of great comfort when erroneous suggestions would attempt to assail; and a firm adherence to the true facts of being has been many times rewarded by proofs of God's protection and safe guidance; and some new view of "divine goodness and love" has followed. To attain to the full understanding of Christian Science would indeed be to experience Life eternal; and while seeking more of this understanding, my greatest joy is found in rendering some service to the Cause of Christian Science. It is with deep appreciation that I recognize each channel through which some glimpse of Truth has come; and my reverence for what Jesus proved for humanity, and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her rediscovery of the truth to this age, are constantly increasing.
