Christian Science came to me because of the earnest desire to be freed from the despairing, sick, and sinful beliefs that bound me; it came as light in darkness, and it healed me. I was healed of the tobacco habit; of great fear and nervousness; also of a skin disease and indigestion. Headaches and colds, from which I used to suffer, have been entirely overcome; also fatigue. I am very grateful for these healings, which are the result of earnest daily study of the Lesson-Sermons from the Christian Science Quarterly; for during the past eleven years never has a day passed when study has been neglected.

I am grateful for the moral as well as for the physical healings received. I am grateful for class instruction, and for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school during the past two years. I am grateful for the understanding, gained through Christian Science, that God is not a far-off God, who may or may not care to help us in our seeming troubles; but that obedience to our understanding of Christian Science will and does destroy all evil. I am always thankful to Christian Science for all the good it has brought into my life, and for the wonderful gift Mrs. Eddy has given to all mankind.
