The healing of one of my sisters, several years ago, of a throat trouble of long standing attracted my attention to Christian Science. Since that time I have had many blessings and healings, for which I am very grateful.

While hurrying to catch a trolley car one evening, I slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk, face downward. The blow stunned me; but instantly the thought came to me that God is Love; and I was able to get up and take the car. The conductor informed me that my face was badly cut, and suggested that I had better have immediate attention. After reaching home I called a Christian Science practitioner and received immediate relief. The next day being Sunday I hesitated at first about going to church, as my face was much scratched; but I was helped by realizing Mrs. Eddy's definition of "Church" as given in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 583), wherein she says, "The Church is that institution, which affords proof of its utility and is found elevating the race, rousing the dormant understanding from material beliefs to the apprehension of spiritual ideas and the demonstration of divine Science, thereby casting out devils, or error, and healing the sick." By the following Wednesday my face was entirely healed; and there were no scars.

Christian Science has also healed me of colds, sore throat, eczema, infected finger, sties, and many other troubles. I am grateful for the divine guidance, happiness, and protection I have received; and for the help Christian Science has been to me in business. I am also grateful for the Christian Science practitioners, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who brought this truth to the world.
