Through the study of Christian Science I have learned that Truth is "the strong deliverer," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 226 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and, in fact, the only deliverer from all our daily trials.

One of my first demonstrations after studying Science for a short time, was accomplished by the persistent application of the understanding I had gained from a passage in Science and Health (p. 261): "Look away from the body into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality. Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts." I had been troubled from childhood with a foot which had caused me much suffering. The toes rubbing together caused irritation and pain. Chiropodists told me that the trouble was caused by friction on the nerves in the toes, and that there was nothing that could relieve it. Shortly after this I had a talk with a Christian Science practitioner, which helped me a great deal. Thus I found the truth, and, through its intelligent application, was made free from the false belief which had literally held me in bondage.

This is only one of the many instances where Truth has been the deliverer; and understanding has unfolded to me, through the study of Mrs. Eddy's works, proving the Master's words, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
