Nine years ago, Christian Science came into my life to bless, heal, and comfort. At that time I was very miserable in health. I had never been well, and had taken quantities of medicine; but since that time I have never taken a drop. At first I could not think of giving up my church, of which I had been an active member for forty years; but in that time, while loving God in a way, I never knew Him as I do now. My first healing was of stomach trouble. At times I could not take a drink of water without distress, but now I can eat anything set before me. I have been healed of tonsillitis that made its appearance every winter. Pleurisy also disappeared; a scald from coffee at boiling point was almost instantaneously overcome; and other ailments have vanished.

Christian Science is not only a curative but a preventive. I wish to express gratitude for protection. I have been wonderfully protected in falls, and have in a measure overcome fear. When my son was overseas I was beautifully sustained; and he was returned to us. Christian Science is most helpful in solving our problems in the home, giving peace, joy, and happiness. I love Christian Science, and have found it the "pearl of great price." The thing I love most about it is that it is a practical, provable religion. If one can prove a thing, then he knows it is true. I am most grateful for class instruction; grateful to God for all His love, to Jesus the Christ, our Way-shower, to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to the loving practitioners, who are giving up all for suffering humanity. My greatest desire is to live the life of a true Christian Scientist.
