I am very grateful for Christian Science and for all it has done for me. For the past seven years it has been my only physician. I had been suffering from indigestion and bowel trouble for several years, so that I could eat only the lightest food, and even that would cause distress. There was a swelling in the right side which was very uncomfortable. Doctors said I had some liver trouble. Material means failed to relieve me. Kind friends advised me to try Christian Science, and I consented, thinking it could not harm me if it did no good. I went to a Christian Science practitioner, and these troubles were immediately overcome. The condition in the side gradually disappeared. Since then many discordant conditions have been met through Christian Science. An abscess in the throat, which was very painful, was destroyed in two days, with the loving help of a practitioner.

I am grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful healing truth, which makes us free. The Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings have been my only textbooks. I now have the pleasure of being a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Portland, Maine.
