Each day I am more grateful for what Christian Science has done for me. About seven years ago I was taken with scarlet fever. At that time I was not a Christian Scientist. Indeed, I had never heard of Christian Science. In the home where I was there were Christian Scientists, who asked me which I wanted, a doctor or Christian Science treatment. I told them I did not care. As my people were not Scientists, however, they thought it best that I should have a doctor; but the one they tried to get was away, so they decided that I should have Christian Science treatment. I was completely healed in just a few hours. The next day I was around as well as ever. This has seemed like a remarkable demonstration to me after seeing what others go through under medical treatment. I have been healed of bad headaches, toothache, and many other ailments. During the epidemic of influenza I was called on to aid in the distress it brought to neighboring homes. Christian Science kept me perfectly free from the disease, and active in the service of those in need of help.

I am grateful for all these experiences, and for the spiritual uplift that has come to me through the study of Christian Science. I am also grateful for this wonderful truth that has taught me to think rightly and live rightly.
