Signs of the Times

It is a gratifying sign of the times, that the world is apparently returning more and more to the Bible. Innumerable voices are raised to summon the world to this return. Even Journalism is not idle. Daily papers are printing extracts from the Scriptures. And a movement is in operation to induce the daily papers to publish regularly Biblical passages. Read what the Bible says, read with open eyes and hearts, and without looking through the enlightened spectacles of others, read and judge for yourselves. Many boast that they know the Bible thoroughly; but it is not true at all; most of them do not understand it and do not want to understand it; and those who do, cease to war against it, because they realize how much they still have to learn from it.
