I should like to relate a few of the steps which I have taken toward the realization of my true being, thinking that if it is read by some one it may help that one as it does me to recount the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science.

After being told to go to a dry climate and that the sooner I went the longer I would live, a kind woman asked me if I knew anything about Christian Science. I told her I did not, so she immediately gave me a few thoughts about some of its glorious truths. Then she told me that, if I desired, she would treat me that night. I went home and had the first restful sleep that I had had for several nights; but as I had started for a drier climate I did not use Christian Science for some time, although I could not but think of the kind lady and the peaceful sleep the night after her treatment.

Four years after Christian Science was first presented to me, I borrowed "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, to investigate for myself. Oh, the joy of that bright day I shall never forget! I had not finished reading the Preface when I knew that I had found the truth and it would heal me. All day long, as relatives of mine came to our house, I tried to make them see the truth of the book I was reading. I had looked for something that would heal me, and now I had found it. I was not mistaken either; because I have been healed of gallstones, stomach trouble, piles, and a fever-sore on one of my legs. Glasses that I had worn for years were laid aside, and now I can see better than I ever did with them; and I do not have any more headaches.
