On page 571 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy says, "Know thyself, and God will supply the wisdom and the occasion for a victory over evil." This thought came to me so clearly at a time when I faced the solving of a difficult problem. For some time I had been troubled by the thought of limitation in a financial way, when, suddenly, I was called upon to overcome this evil and demonstrate the fact that God supplies all our needs.

In the spring of 1921 the place where my husband was employed closed for an indefinite length of time. This I knew was my opportunity to prove my understanding of Truth. I turned unreservedly to God, the divine Mind, for my supply, and the way in which I received it was truly wonderful. Time for study came naturally each day, and I felt so uplifted by the joy of overcoming the mortal sense of lack and limitation, which seems to cause so much discontent and unhappiness. "New views of divine goodness and love," to use our Leader's words in Science and Health (p. 66), were constantly unfolded to me during this time, and my demonstration of supply seemed to pave the way for a greater blessing to follow, namely, class instruction in Christian Science. For this last privilege I can never express enough gratitude in words. This teaching continues to unfold each day.

I did not turn to Christian Science for physical healing, but the healing of goiter, headaches, indigestion, and colds came through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon. For relief from these physical ailments and for the joy, peace, and comfort which I have received, I am truly very grateful.
