Among the Churches

Current Notes

Camp Lewis, Wash. —The Christian Science churches of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho have been maintaining a building, with reading room, in Greene Park, Camp Lewis, since July, 1918, and activities continue at the present time. An attractive club room is provided for the use of the Camp Lewis personnel, and plenty of material for writing letters is available. The books in the reading room are chiefly religious in character, including those relating to Christian Science. According to the secretary in charge of this welfare institution, church services are held in the Christian Science building on Sunday mornings at 10.30 o'clock. The average attendance is said to be about thirty people, including many from Dupont.

Seaside, Ore.—Announcement was made to-day of a new five thousand dollar bungalow church for Christian Science Society of Seaside, to be erected on their Second Avenue property. The building will be thirty-four by sixty feet with a seating capacity of two hundred. It is to be completed by July 1.
