It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I send in the following testimony of my healing.

In the spring of this year I was ill with neurasthenia, and so unfit for work that I was forced to give up my situation. I was very depressed and filled with fears, could not sleep at night, and altogether was so wretched that I felt that life was not worth living. I was waiting to be a little better before going to my brother's home in England for a long rest and holiday; but instead of getting better I grew worse, and finally was sent into a hospital for treatment. While an inmate of this place I procured the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and commenced the study of it out of doors, as there was little opportunity or quietness inside the hospital for this purpose. I was also very much helped by a Christian Science practitioner.

At first I could only read a little at a time, but gradually my interest deepened in the book, and I read on from preface to conclusion. At the end of the reading I found I was completely healed. All the previously mentioned symptoms had disappeared, and were replaced with a sense of peace, and rest, and well-being. My mental outlook had quite changed, and I need scarcely say how thankful I was to be relieved of the trouble. Soon after this I was discharged fit for work on a Tuesday, and the work was obtained by Thursday. I must also add that Christian Science kept me from worrying about a situation while in the hospital.
