Eleven years ago I was suffering with what the doctors called chronic appendicitis, also a bad condition of bowel trouble that had been with me from early childhood. I was absolutely healed of these troubles in three weeks' treatment from a Christian Science practitioner.

Some four years later, a peculiar condition of growths suddenly appeared and kept spreading all over my hands and feet, and were to sense most painful. I was healed of these growths in a month's treatment in Christian Science. On awakening one morning I noticed they had all changed in appearance and had ceased to pain me. Within a few days they began to disappear; and there is not even a mark now where they had been. Chronic conditions of quinsy sore throat, indigestion, headache, catarrh, and rheumatism have disappeared since taking up the study of Christian Science, although I never had treatment for these ills; with my changed understanding, they have all faded away. I awoke one morning last winter with great discomfort all up my back and spine. As the day went on, I became as one paralyzed all up one side; I could not even turn my head on account of the pain. I called for help from a practitioner, and received relief in a few hours. An attack of grippe was also overcome last winter in three days' treatment.

While grateful beyond words for these physical healings, I feel much more grateful for the spiritual uplift that has come to me by the understanding, through the study of Christian Science, of the infinity of God, good, and of man made in His image and likeness. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 254), "When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously, He directs our path." I am deeply grateful that God appointed Mrs. Eddy in this age to reveal His truth to the world, and that we thereby are enabled to understand the Scriptures from their spiritual standpoint, and can make them practical in our daily living; also for class instruction and membership in The Mother Church and in Second Church of Christ, Scientist, in this city; and to all who have helped me to know God.
