Three years ago, Christian Science found me in an evil...

Three years ago, Christian Science found me in an evil mental state, which condition I can now see as the only hell mortals can ever experience. I knew not which way to turn. I was everything I should not have been, and groping in mental darkness, which seemed so hopelessly dense! In the home in which my mother and I lived was a fine living example of Christian Science; and, being anxious to find out the secret, I began reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In a very short time I was healed of a twenty-five years' old tobacco habit, which I had tried to conquer many times. Since growing in understanding of Christian Science, I have been healed of chronic catarrh, rheumatism, and many phases of nervousness; but, best of all, I have found the peace that "passeth all understanding."

Could business men realize what an everyday, practical religion Christian Science is, how it can be lived in every business activity, we should see fewer puzzled expressions and drawn faces on our streets. One of my greatest inspirations was reading Sybil Wilbur's Life of Mrs. Eddy, where I learned of her seemingly insurmountable stumblingblocks and her ultimate victory in giving to the world the truth in Christian Science. I am striving to live my thankfulness each hour, and to "praise God, from whom all blessings flow."—Albert L. Perry, Oakland, Calif.
