Citizen-Patriot,

"The greatest challenge thrust upon all of the Protestant churches to-day is the Christian Scientist," declared Dr. Charles Goodell before the Evangelical and Bible conference of the Michigan Evangelical Association. "The Scientists fill their churches on Wednesday nights by the desire to tell their experiences and what their faith in God has done for them. They tell how they got rid of their influenza, or rheumatism, or sore throat. Why can't Protestant churches fill their pews by letting the parishioner tell what Jesus Christ had done for his soul and body?"
