Christian Science has brought peace and harmony into...
Christian Science has brought peace and harmony into our home, and I feel it is my duty and also a privilege to give this testimony of the efficacy of Christian Science to heal instantaneously.
On December 30, 1919, our little girl four years of age was standing near the sidewalk, watching some boys playing hockey. A baker's wagon was standing near by and the puck hit the horse's head and it took fright and backed up the wagon, knocking our little girl down on her face. The back wheel went over her leg. She was picked up quickly and brought into the house to me. She was unable to stand and was suffering with severe shock, her face was very much swollen and bruised, and she was cut near her nose. I am very grateful for the understanding I had of the allness of God and the power of good in a time of need, for I had no fear and was calm and able to apply the truth as taught in Christian Science. My husband thought I had better telephone to the practitioner and ask him to help our little girl. Whilst I was telephoning my husband undressed her and found the marks of the wheel on her leg near the thigh. I called the practitioner about noon and at one o'clock the child got out of her bed and walked into the kitchen and said, "Mamma, I am all better." Every discordant condition had disappeared, she was herself again except for a mark near her nose, and this disappeared next day.
I myself have been healed of a severe attack of quinsy in three treatments and, through the help of the practitioner giving me a clearer knowledge of God, I have been able to overcome corns and a large bunion on my left foot. My toes were overlapping each other, which caused them to fester, and I would suffer intense pain at times; but they are now straight. I find when we try to be honest, sincere, and desirous to know and understand more about God and His goodness, we are shown the way by the teachings of Christian Science. My one desire is to know more of this great truth that makes us free.
