For the many blessings and the help which Christian Science...

For the many blessings and the help which Christian Science has brought me I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude. For many years I was a sufferer from nervous trouble, experienced severe pains throughout the entire body. The nerves of my stomach were also affected and I could partake only of easily digestible food. I tried baths to relieve me of this trouble. A course of treatment taken in a hydropathic establishment did not effect the least results. Seventeen years ago I was healed of this painful trouble in a few weeks through Christian Science. This healing has proved to be permanent and never since then have I suffered from nervous trouble. I have also overcome several minor ailments through the realization of God's omnipotence and omnipresence. With the psalmist I can say: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies."

Some time ago my knee became swollen, and, as I am a member of a sick benefit aid, I was obliged to consult a physician, who diagnosed the case as mycodermitis of the knee and told me I would never get rid of this trouble; for the present, he said, the leg could remain as it was, but later on it would have to be operated on. Then I consulted a Christian Science practitioner and asked for treatment. After two weeks the swelling was greatly reduced. Then I informed the practitioner that I wished to continue the work myself. I tried to realize the perfect man, created in God's image and likeness and governed by divine law only. After two more weeks my knee was completely healed. I think of our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, with a deep love, for through her life work I have been shown the right way and have found the living Christ.
