As an expression of gratitude and in witness of the healing power of Truth in this age, as revealed in the Bible, and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, the following experience is related with loving assurance that it will encourage others to turn to God for help in time of need.

Arriving home one evening the writer, then a beginner in the study of Christian Science, found his young son in bed, suffering from the effects of an accident in which his foot was severely sprained. Standing by his bedside and longing to be able to do something to relieve the little sufferer, it came to him that not long before in answer to his own silent prayer he had been healed of a severe attack of fever in a very few minutes. In grateful contemplation of this he silently asked God to show him the way by which his child might be healed. Then as thought ascended, there was realized a great sense of the allness and ever presence of Love and the nothingness of the discord. The child was lovingly assured that God would heal him. The bandage was removed, some medicine previously applied by another member of the family wiped away, and the bandage replaced. Immediately the expression of pain disappeared, and the child fell asleep. Next morning he awoke with no evidence whatever of the injury and apparently without any recollection of the dream, which Truth had proved to be no part of his being. Thus to one grateful student were proved the words of our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, on page 495 of Science and Health, "Truth casts out error now as surely as it did nineteen centuries ago."
