[Written for the Sentinel]

The Comforter

O TROUBLED heart,
Be still and know,
The Comforter is near
To heal thy woe.

Look up and follow
Where it leads,—
Into the knowing of all Truth,
The promise reads.

Depart, O sin and death,
Thy doom is sealed;
For we shall stand upon the mount—
All Truth revealed.
