For nearly five years my husband was incapable of work. He tried everything possible to regain his health, but five doctors and treatment in two hospitals did not cure him. The diagnoses of the doctors all differed. One called the trouble inflammatory rheumatism, another inflammation of the hip joint, the third a severe case of sciatica, et cetera. The hospital doctor who was treating my husband told me he would never be able to work again, although he might live twenty-five years longer. Then a friend called our attention to Christian Science. I immediately looked up a practitioner and asked for treatment for my husband. Through her untiring work and through our studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, my husband was entirely healed. The healing was slow, but he has been able to attend to his duties fully for several years. Formerly he could move about only with difficulty and with the help of a crutch or stick, whereas to-day he walks freely without any support.

A further proof of the blessings of Christian Science I wish also to relate. One evening I suddenly began to have a toothache. I tried to help myself in Christian Science but the pain being very intense I seemed unable to think clearly and spent a miserable night. When my daughter came home the next evening she requested help for me from a practitioner. Very soon the pain was almost gone and I was able to open my mouth a little better. I slept very well that night and upon awaking the next morning the pain was entirely gone and has not reappeared. After three days the swelling had entirely vanished. At the same time I was freed from backache from which I had been suffering for some time.

For these healings and for many other proofs of the power of divine Love we are indeed thankful. Our hearts go out to our faithful Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who showed us the way to the truth.—(Mrs.) Sophie Schulz, Altona, Germany.
