I wish to thank God for all the good I have received...
I wish to thank God for all the good I have received through Christian Science. For twelve years I suffered from lung trouble and was under the care of a physician for several years, but as my condition grew much worse I went to a sanitarium. When I returned from there the condition seemed somewhat improved, but shortly afterwards I was to be sent to a sanitarium again. I flatly refused to go, and having no more faith in medicines I got along without the physician's aid. I turned to all sorts of remedies, but nothing brought me the longed for healing until Christian Science freed me through the power of Truth. Fainting spells, from which I had suffered for several years, have also been overcome. When nine years of age I was bitten in the leg by a snake and high fever and violent vomiting followed. For months the leg was numb and swollen, and for years I suffered great pain. At times my whole side and arm were as though paralyzed. A cramped condition of the foot often seemed unbearable, and at such times I was compelled to remove my shoe, otherwise dizziness and fainting spells set in. I have been freed from this condition through Christian Science.
For all this I am heartily thankful, but more so for the spiritual uplift which I have experienced through my knowledge of the truth. Our Bible Lessons give me a better understanding of the Bible, and I am learning with greater clearness that God only is our helper in every need. I thank God, who showed me the way to Christian Science, and am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, our dear Leader. It shall be my earnest endeavor constantly to grow in this wonderful teaching.
