I was afflicted with a skin disease and and suffered many winters from a throat affection in its worst form up to the time I began to attend Christian Science services, when I was twelve years old. I have been free from these troubles ever since that year. Not only has Christian Science healed me of these two diseases but it has destroyed a desire for tobacco and intoxicating liquors. I had a terrible temper, but Christian Science overcame that by teaching me about God. It also freed me from the habit of using profane language.

I first learned to read the Bible as a result of the message which Christian Science brought to me. In reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I had to read the Bible in order to understand what Mrs. Eddy was explaining. In turn Science and Health offered the explanation for all Bible passages which seemed to lack meaning. To-day the two books go together to bring me increasing daily happiness, health, and harmony. I am thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for leading me to Christian Science, which indeed heals and saves, mentally, morally, and spiritually.—Russell S. Slayton, Lebanon, N. H.

I can vouch for my son's healing of the skin disease, from which he had suffered all his life, also for the accuracy of his statements regarding other healings. He has been in perfect health, and free from evil habits of which he has spoken, ever since his healing. I am most grateful for all the blessings bestowed on me and mine by our loving Father-Mother God.
