Since coming into Christian Science we have had many...

Since coming into Christian Science we have had many proofs of God's goodness. Harmony reigns in place of discord in our home and we now trust in God for guidance in all things. One day our daughter, while kneeling down to go under a fence, was bitten on the knee by a rattlesnake, which to mortal sense is very poisonous. I was called from the field and began immediately to declare the truth. After reading from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I read the ninety-first psalm, dwelling especially on the verse which says, "Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet." I gave her treatment to the best of my understanding and in less than half an hour she was quiet and the fear was gone. With the calm assurance that all was well I went back to my work. At supper time I found her singing and in every way as well as usual. She ate a hearty meal and retired at the regular hour, awakening the next morning normal except for a slight stiffness and swelling of the knee, which was soon overcome.

For this healing and for many other blessings we are thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who gave Christian Science to the world.—J. T. Blair, Toltec, Ariz.

I am very glad to confirm my husband's statements, and truly thankful for Christian Science, as formerly I hardly knew what it was to pass a day without taking some kind of medicine. Now I rely entirely on the truth which makes free. It has been fourteen years since we began the study of this wonderful teaching, and much good has come to us from a knowledge of it.—(Mrs.) Bertha A. Blair.
