I am very pleased to see in the Courier the admission by a speaker on unity and reform in the church that young men to-day are turning their attention to Christian Science. The reason given for this, however, was stated to be because religion had been "watered down" to please people. Whatever truth there may be in that statement I am sure you will permit me to say that the attraction to Christian Science is principally because of a far greater than that. It is because it is showing mankind that Christ can meet all the needs of the people, and it is demonstrating this fact by reinstating "primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Manual of The Mother Church, p. 17), which is one of the fundamental doctrines of Christianity.
