I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I had help in Christian Science a number of years before my marriage, and for a time kept up the study; but I finally seemed to drift away from it, and after my marriage used material remedies for everything for a year or two. Then came a period of suffering caused by the premature birth of a child, and for the relief of which I had to undergo an operation; but I did not experience the relief we had hoped for. Finally the doctor said another operation was necessary. This was very discouraging, and I persuaded my husband to let me take Christian Science treatment. He consented, upon the condition that if I was not much better in a month the operation should be performed. A practitioner lovingly took up treatment for me, and in a month I was healed and able to do my work again. This was about five years ago, and I have not had the old trouble since.

My husband has had a great deal of help in Christian Science since he saw how it benefited me, and our little boy was healed of a "snuffling," which many said was caused by nasal growths. Colds and other inharmonious conditions have also been overcome very readily, and there is a greater freedom from fear, which used to be constantly with me. Although I am not always able to overcome fear instantly, yet by holding to the truth about God, as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have been greatly helped.

We are not near any church, but we have the Sentinel, Journal, and Quarterly, and they are very helpful. I am thankful to God for His good gifts to us, and also feel deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to live better and happier lives.
