The Lectures

Bridgeport, Conn. (First Church).—Dr. Walton Hubbard, lecturer; introduced by Frederick Peitzsch, who said in part:—

Anyone really interested in Christian Science wants to know more about it; and the reason is not far to seek. From time immemorial people have been endeavoring to find satisfactory answers to their questions about life, about God, "if haply they might feel after him," as the apostle puts it, and about themselves. Questions such as Why? and What's the use? present themselves daily, and to the human mind unilluminated by truth there comes a sense of hopelessness at the inability to answer. But in spite of the seeming setbacks and discouragements, mankind has gone on, led by the desire for protection against evil and for the attainment of harmonious conditions of existence, and Christian Science shows how these results may be obtained.

Boulder, Col. (First Church).—Clarence W. Chadwick, lecturer; introduced by Benjamin D. Cornell, instructor in chemistry at the University of Colorado, who said in part:—
