When I first learned of Christian Science in August,...
When I first learned of Christian Science in August, 1915, I had been a sufferer from a tubercular hip for several years. During the last two years I had scarcely moved from my bed. Christian Science had often been mentioned to me, but I gave it only a passing thought, until one day a friend told me that a very dear Scientist friend of hers had said I need not lie there on my bed any longer. I had so long been bitter against this bondage, for which I could find no help, that I wanted to talk with this lady and find out what solution she would give for my problem. All who have had similar experiences will know the wonderful truth that she brought to me. She immediately began treatment, and a new world opened up to me in which there gradually ceased to be any pain or bitterness. In four months I put away my crutches and walked, knowing that God was my support. Not only was this condition overcome, but many ills of lifelong duration yielded to the power of Truth. Headaches, adhesions due to several years of appendicitis, a tubercular throat, and many other ailments have disappeared since I first began to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. All but a little of the work done for me was by absent treatment.
I am deeply grateful for all the Christian Science literature, and above all for the right understanding of God.
Miss Cecil Parker, Denver, Col.
