It is with a grateful heart that I testify to the blessings received through Christian Science. For five years I had been a sufferer from chronic appendicitis, bowel disorder, and heart trouble, also nervousness. During this time I had been under medical treatment, but received only temporary relief. In November, 1913, an abscess of the appendix broke. The doctor made an examination and said I would have to undergo an operation; but a friend advised me to try Christian Science. She also brought a practitioner to see me. I had five treatments and was healed. I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and through the understanding gained from its study I was enabled to lay aside dark glasses, which had been worn for twelve years.

I am thankful for the physical healing but more grateful for the spiritual uplift. It is my desire to strive constantly to have that Mind in me "which was also in Christ Jesus," that I may be enabled to give others the help that I have received.
