During the past three years I have received so much inspiration...
During the past three years I have received so much inspiration and help from the many beautiful testimonies given through the Sentinel and Journal that the only was I can express my gratitude is by adding my own. Although I did not turn to Christian Science for healing, I have experienced a greater healing than I ever dreamed possible,—a regeneration of thought and life that has made old things pass away and all things become new. Through a scientific understanding of God and of man's relation to Him, I have been spiritually awakened to a higher sense of love and the realization that unselfed service is the only work which can satisfy. I have been lifted out of great mental confusion, prejudice, and doubt, the result of searching for the truth along the highways and byways of so-called mental science. The first reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, convinced me beyond any possible doubt that at last I had found the absolute truth; and such a realization, after groping so long is the dark, is so great a blessing that nothing short of a consecrated life of good works will or can compensate for it. During the past three years I have had many healings. Colds have been overcome quickly, and an injured ankle was healed in two treatments. I have also been freed from other minor physical difficulties, and can testify to the wonderful protection which a practical understanding of the ever presence of God always brings. The real knowledge of all that is good and enduring as gained from a daily study of Christian Science is the greatest treasure I have.
I wish to express my gratitude and love to Mrs. Eddy for her great service to mankind in giving this truth to the world, a clear, scientific restatement of the Principle that Jesus taught and proved two thousand years ago.
