More than ten years ago I was painfully uncertain of mortal life, and was conscious that the sands of my existence, in spite of the most strenuous efforts of myself and the doctors, were fast ebbing away. The wonderful healing of a friend through Christian Science aroused me to greater determination with God's help to recover my health. Application was made for immediate treatment, and I was healed. Medicine was given up, also glasses which had been used for years, and I depended wholly upon the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
It would be impossible to enumerate the many blessings that have come to me and mine through the gentle ministrations of Life, Truth, and Love. I have seen chills obliterated instantly, with no fever following. I have seen neuralgia overcome, also bad colds and catarrh. I have seen the weary leap with joy, inspired by the spirit of these uplifting words: "They that wait upon the Lord ... shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." I also have heard the blind exclaim with gladness, "I can see!" and have seen a dread disease, a malignant growth, disappear. I have found in the blessed Word of God, as exemplified by Christian Science, a balm for every woe, a joy for every misery, and inspiring harmony for every discord.
How priceless and limitless is the heritage of the children of God, who gladly obey our Master's inspiring injuction, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
