It has been my desire for some time to express my gratitude...
It has been my desire for some time to express my gratitude for at least a part of the many blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. I am especially grateful for the spiritual healing, as I was truly in need of knowing how to think rightly not only of myself but of my fellow men. I was away from home and friends, discouraged, discontented with myself, the world, and all mankind; I had no faith or trust in anyone and knew nothing of God, as I had never tried to know Him. I can see now that I was gradually being led to that great Shepherd and His fold; but it has taken earnest work on my part with the loving patience of friends to get to where I can "hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true," as our Leader says on page 261 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Now I can prove the truth of Christian Science not only for myself but for others.
Mere words seem so inadequate to express my gratitude for the wonderful blessings that have come to me, but by living in strict obedience to the law of God, of Truth and Love, I can prove my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy and all the loving friends who have helped me along the road, and this is my constant prayer.
(Mrs.) Nellie Smith, Tacoma, Wash.
