For some time I have wanted to express my gratitude for Christian Science, also for the authorized literature. I had tried medical treatment in all its phases, believing that was the only help one could get, as I was a trained nurse in a Chicago hospital before my marriage. After being told by my physician that I would never be well, however, I decided to try Christian Science, which was recommended to me by a sister who had been healed by the power of Truth after an unsuccessful operation had been performed. Through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and the aid of faithful practitioners, many physical and mental ailments have been eradicated. My healing was slow, but that led me to study and work harder to gain an understanding of this truth. I have been instantaneously healed of burns, and quickly healed of stiff neck. A sense of resentment has also been overcome.

Not long ago I had a proof of God's care and protection. My husband and I had autoed to a near-by town, and I was waiting in the car while he was in a store on business, when around the corner came a runaway team hitched to a dray. The team was headed right for the front end of our car, but divine Love was surely protecting me, for I had absolutely no fear. As I sat still I seemed to realize that God is Love and that nothing could harm me, and the horses came to a standstill. The pole from the wagon knocked off one side of the license number but did not touch the car. A crowd gathered and seemed amazed that no damage was done, every one saying, "How lucky;" but I knew that the protecting power of Truth had been realized.

For this proof of divine Love's ever presence I am very grateful, also for the great privilege of class instruction; and I am striving each day for more light.
