Extracts from Letters

[Received from Italy]

"I take this opportunity of expressing my loyal gratitude to The Mother Church for having given me the chance to become a channel for this river of love and hope flowing for all the world through The Mother Church, her members, and those who have her good at heart. I have seen despair and idleness banished by hope and usefulness, hate by gratitude, class reserve by good fellowship. The seed is being sown, the crop must spring up and be good in God's own time. I can never be grateful enough for this and the literature. It has helped me to demonstrate for myself peace of mind and patience, to work and wait."

"As long as I live I shall be grateful for your goodness, and together with my wife we will teach our children to love the generous nation that in difficult days was a sister to Italy."
