When I began the study of Christian Science several years ago, I was in a very bad state mentally. I was so afraid I had a so-called incurable disease that I would not believe the doctor when he examined me and said he could find no symptoms of it. All my life friends and relatives predicted I would have this disease, until I became thoroughly mesmerized with the thought of it. I knew doctors could not help me, so when a lady recommended that I try Christian Science I did so, and knew at once that it was what I had always wanted. I was healed of this fear, but slowly; when my thought became spiritualized, the healing came.
Since then I have been instantly healed of severe toothache. Another quick healing was of a broken bone in my foot. I was brought home from a picnic unable to walk without help. My healing came in less than an hour after I asked for treatment, and I could walk almost as well as before the accident. At the time I did not know what the trouble was, but later had an examination which showed the bone to have been broken, although it was perfectly healed. I am so grateful for these healings, but far more grateful for the spiritual understanding that has come to me through the study of Christian Science.
