I came into Christian Science through the influence of my ten-year-old boy, who was attending the Sunday school with a playmate. I was at the time afflicted with melancholia, and would spend hours weeping—making home anything but pleasant for the other members of my family. From the moment I began to read "Science and Health with key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, the cloud lifted and I was able to discern the truth, and I shall never cease to be grateful. Having been a trained nurse for about nine years, and having taken everything known to the medical profession for the overcoming of physical defects, but without success, imagine my joy when I found myself healed through the reading of our textbook. Hemorrhoids of long standing were healed, sick headache from which I had suffered for years disappeared, and glasses which had been worn for nearly twenty years were discarded. A fully developed felon on one of my fingers disappeared in three days. The sense of limitation has also been overcome. Relatives have been healed of colds, fever, and in fact nearly all the ills that flesh is heir to.

To say we are grateful for the physical healing would be expected, but we are more grateful for the spiritual uplift, the understanding of divine Principle, the knowledge of which is Life eternal. To those young in the study of Christian Science, I would say that no matter what comes, no matter what the form of error may be, if they stick closely to the truth and never give place to discouragement they will be conquerors.

I am deeply indebted to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her untiring efforts. Through her faithfulness I have reached a place where I can be of service to others.
