You report a former Jewish rabbi as saying at the recent conference at Bible School Park that he became interested in Christian Science and served as a reader for a Christian Science congregation, but that he never gave up Judaism. In reply thereto permit me to state that there is a vast difference between the God of Judaism and the God of Christian Science. The Scriptures point out the inevitable result of trying to worship two masters and of trying to put new wine into old bottles. If, therefore, the former rabbi failed to grasp the Christian Science point of view and reap the blessings that unfailingly follow, the cause is not hard to discern.

Jesus taught that his real blood was the life that he lived, and Mrs. Eddy teaches in Science and Health that they truly drink his blood who strive to emulate him. In the twenty-fourth psalm we read: "Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully." This illustrates as clearly as anything can the Christian Science view of atonement. Any other interpretation would appear to be unreasonable and unscientific.
