I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for Christian Science. About eleven years ago I suffered severely from a stomach disorder, spinal trouble, and other complications. Different doctors were tried, but all to no avail. I had practically given up hope of ever being well again, and was discontented and unhappy. Then herbal treatment was resorted to, but with no better results.

At this time a friend asked me to give Christian Science a trial, so the next day I went to the Science church. On returning home I told my wife that the people I saw at church looked so pleasant, and there seemed to be such peace and happiness expressed, that I had decided to try Christian Science. The following day I called on a practitioner and had my first treatment. When I asked what I should eat, I was told to eat anything I wished. This seemed too good to be true, but I decided to test it. Not having had any meat for nine months, I went to a restaurant and ordered some. I slept well that night for the first time in many months, and next morning the bowels acted naturally. From that day, over eleven years ago, I have never taken a drop of medicine. I was also healed of severe kidney trouble.

Words fail me to express my gratitude to God, and my love to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Christian Science, which has indeed made me a new man, for from despair and darkness it has brought me back to happiness and health. My daily prayer is that I may become a Christian Scientist not only in word, but in truth and in deed.
