My first healing in Christian Science was that of a badly shattered arm. The doctors gave me no hope of ever being able to use it to advantage again, and all medicine failed; but with one treatment in Christian Science the arm was completely healed. The doctors also had me lay off from my locomotive work, saying I had kidney trouble; but that was likewise healed. Next came the laying aside of glasses, which I had been using for some eighteen years.

Most wonderful to me, however, was the healing of a broken leg. I knew that divine Mind had healed me of the other troubles, so I said God would be my only physician in this case. A practitioner was telephoned to, and in half an hour I was bearing my full weight on the leg. It was badly swollen, however, so we had the practitioner give me another treatment. I then went to bed, and slept until morning. Crutches were used for about three weeks, but after that they were unnecessary. I believe the leg is as strong as it was before the break, as I am able to take long walks, say from twenty-five to thirty miles, and have no trouble. I have also been healed of neuralgia.
