A year and a half ago I was in great distress, suffering from heart, kidney, and stomach trouble, and it became my earnest desire to know how to live so that God would bless me; but there were so many different churches I was unable to decide which one was right. I prayed earnestly that God would show me the way to go, and the thought came to me to investigate Christian Science. This was on a Sunday morning, and I accordingly went to the Christian Science morning service in this city. Being filled with material thoughts and error, I could hardly listen to what was read; but I tried to do so, for my desire was to know God, and during the reading of the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468), I was healed of all the ailments mentioned.
Nothing ever gave me more joy and happiness than the realization that I was healed, and the spiritual uplift which came with it has brought peace and harmony. I have been faithfully studying Christian Science ever since, and find it to be a religion of truth and love, a blessing to the whole world. I am very grateful for what it has done for me, and am trying to live according to its teachings. I thank God daily for leading me into the light.
