I wish to testify to the great blessing that Christian Science has been to me and to my husband. All my life, over fifty years, I have been seeking for the truth and I have found it in Christian Science, which was first brought to my attention as worth studying in 1910. At that time I met a friend who had always been an invalid and was astonished at the change in her. She told me that Christian Science had brought this about, and very kindly gave me some copies of the Sentinel. I had a friend who was sick, and I thought Christian Science was just what she needed, but after studying it a little while I found it was what I myself, as well as all mankind, needed.
Since then we have had no doctor and used no medicine, although my husband has been so ill that neighbors thought he would not get better. In February, 1915, he was in such a condition that I felt only Christian Science could save him. For four days he was not right mentally, though he got up and dressed every day. On the fourth day he was clear in his thought, and we were thankful. We had no practitioner, as we are not near one. He has been away from work on account of sickness only one day this year, whereas he used to be at home every few months for a short rest. We have found such true friends through Christian Science. Words cannot express our thankfulness to God for this great blessing, and we hope to prove our gratitude by our deeds.—Mrs. E. Eckersall, Heywood, near Manchester, England.
