There is nothing for which I am more grateful to Christian Science than the help it has been in the raising of my children—for the health, happiness, peace, and love it has brought into our home. When I first heard of Christian Science I thought I should be glad to investigate it for myself, but did not suppose I would trust my children to it. One night, however, a Christian Science practitioner happened to be in the house when my little daughter, then about four years of age, awakened with a severe attack of the croup. She had been subject to these attacks since babyhood and a physician had always been called, but the practitioner assured me the child would be all right, and she was. In about fifteen minutes she was sleeping soundly, perfectly healed, and she never had another attack. This was all the proof I needed. From that day to this Christian Science has been our only physician, and it has never failed to heal when gratitude and love have opened the way.

Several years later this same daughter had trouble with her eyes and finally became totally blind in one eye, according to the verdict of the oculist to whom she was taken in compliance with the wishes of her grandparents, who were not Scientists. Christian Science treatment was immediately begun and in a few months the eyes were healed, except for a slight scar on one of the eyeballs. This, too, afterward disappeared, and she has used her eyes constantly ever since, often until late at night with her college work, without the least inconvenience.

I am very grateful for the Sunday school and the working knowledge of Christian Science the children have gained there. It has been such a help and protection to them. Much gratitude is also felt for the literature which comes into our home daily with its healing message. Christian Science has lifted me out of the darkness into light, and my earnest desire is to radiate this light to others struggling under the burden of sorrow and sin. My thankfulness goes out to God, and my gratitude to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way, and to those dear friends who have helped me on my journey from sense to Soul.
