Our Master has said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I can no longer refrain from adding my testimony of the freedom I have found in Christian Science during the past twelve years. Many times it has been proved that if we rely implicitly on the truth, it overcomes every adverse condition.

Some time ago I had a convincing proof of this in a case of accident. I was called to pass the night with a patient, and as she was very comfortable we both retired, but during the night I was suddenly awakened, and without turning on the light went to her. On the way back to my room, instead of entering it, as I supposed, I fell down the stairs to the landing below. After a few moments, and with a little assistance, I was able to walk to my room, but for a while the sense of pain was intense. Knowing God to be a "very present help in trouble," however, and realizing the truth of being as best I could, I passed the rest of the night peacefully. In the morning I called for help in Science and was taken home. To material sense the bruises were many and severe, but on the fourth day I discarded all material support and the following week took up my regular work, which required much physical activity.

For this experience and many other proofs of the protecting and healing power of divine Love, I am truly thankful to God, also grateful to our revered Leader for making the way so plain to this age.
