I feel compelled to give thanks to God for my restoration...
I feel compelled to give thanks to God for my restoration to health and happiness. For twenty-five years I had been afflicted with hemorrhoids, and several physicians had treated me without success. My feet and legs commenced to swell and my general health to break down. The family physician said that nothing would do me any good except an operation, to which I would not consent. At this time a friend spoke to me of Christian Science. I knew nothing of it, but was willing to try anything. The practitioner of whom I asked treatment said I could be cured, as all things are possible to God, although my advanced age and lifelong belief in the tenets of another religion might hinder me. I was better after the first treatment, and in a week was entirely healed. Several minor troubles were overcome at the same time, among them stomach disorder and the habit of smoking a pipe. I am a well woman, thanks to my loving Father.
Christian Science is my daily comfort and strength, and the Bible has never seemed so beautiful. I am learning that God is Life, Love, and Truth, and am thankful to Him for the blessings each day brings me, as well as grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who gave us the light.
Miriam B. Martin, Hopkinsville, Ky.
