Many blessings and spiritual awakenings have come to us through the study of Christian Science. Some time ago my four year old daughter fell on the front steps. When helped up she was crying bitterly and complained of pain in one of her arms. I brought her into the house, and after removing her coat noticed a bend in the arm above the wrist, which to mortal sense was broken. A Christian Science practitioner was immediately called, and she said she would commence treatment at once.

The little one had been placed in a chair and was resting her arm on cushions. I began to read to her from Science and Health, and she soon stopped crying and went to sleep. As both bones had been broken, my husband decided they should be set, so we called a physician, who arrived about two hours after the accident occurred. There was no pain when the bones were set, and the child experienced no further discomfort from the arm. The day after the accident she did not use the arm much, but after that she used it as freely as the other. No discomfort was experienced while she was being dressed, and the very first night she raised her arm over her head to put it through the sleeve of her dress. It was never carried in a sling and the bandage was never secure very long, being pushed up to allow freer use of her fingers. There was no swelling and never any pain, even when the physician in thoroughly examining it pressed and tested it in all ways. Out of respect to his kindness the bandage was not removed till the end of three weeks, though the healing was complete on the second day and the physician himself said it was a perfect joining.

We have had many other evidences of the healing power of divine Love, among them being kidney trouble, dropsy, convulsions, fevers, and colds. Our thankfulness to God is unbounded, also our gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful work.—Mrs. William D. Clark, Webster Groves, Mo.
