It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude to God that I...

[Translated from the French]

It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude to God that I acknowledge the many benefits received through Christian Science. About ten years ago an operation was performed on my right eye, and after six months' treatment I was fitted with special glasses, which I had to wear constantly. When in 1913 the trouble became aggravated, I underwent six weeks' treatment, which, however, failed to benefit me. A second physician pronounced my case a serious one, and I was very much afraid of losing my sight altogether.

I was in a state of despair, but a friend told me of Christian Science, and I called on a practitioner, who received me with much kindness. After a few treatments there was a complete change in my mental condition, and my sight had so improved that I did not need to use the glasses during my daily occupation ; indeed the fear of losing my sight had been destroyed. I used to be left-handed in all I did, but after I began to understand and to apply the principle of Christian Science I learned to use my right hand as well.

For all this, and for having been led to Christian Science, I am profoundly grateful. How great is my happiness to know that God is All-in-all and that He is my light ! I am deeply thankful to God for all the blessings I have received, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having shown us the way leading to Truth.
