As I have received so much from Christian Science, I must express my gratitude. The healing which stands out most clearly in my thought and which made me first realize the power of Truth, was that of a severe attack of throat trouble. The ailment appeared while I was on my way to visit friends who lived a few miles from home, and before my destination was reached my throat became very painful. By the next day I could not swallow anything but water and there was a high fever. My friends became alarmed and wanted to call a doctor, as they were not Christian Scientists; but I asked them to send for a Christian Science practitioner, and they did so. The practitioner came that evening and gave me treatment. Although barely conscious of her presence, the next morning I realized that I had gone to sleep before she left and had slept all night. In two days I was completely healed and could eat anything; in fact I looked better than I had for weeks. Always before, when I suffered from these attacks, it would be two or three weeks before my complete recovery.

My progress in Christian Science, though seemingly slow, has been a blessing, for it has made me study and enabled me to demonstrate over all problems arising in my daily life.
