I wish to express my deep gratitude to God for His truth...
I wish to express my deep gratitude to God for His truth as revealed to us through the teachings of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Before becoming interested in Christian Science I had been a church-member for eleven years and had taken an active part in all church work. Like many others, however, I was not entirely satisfied with my religion, and finally lost interest in the church, although still elinging to my belief in God. There seemed to be more regard for the material than for the spiritual in the churches, and discord appeared to reign instead of harmony.
When Christian Science was presented to me by a dear relative, I saw in it a religion of love, and words are inadequate to express my thankfulness for the spiritual uplift which has come from the earnest study of the Bible together with Science and Health. We have had many demonstrations of Truth's healing power. Numerous problems have arisen, both physical and mental, but all have been quickly solved by the scientific application of the divine Principle and rule of Christian Science. At times we have needed treatment from a practitioner, and we are grateful for the help which has been given so lovingly.
We are also thankful for having been accepted as members of The Mother Church, and are striving to live in such a manner that we may be worthy to be called Christian Scientists. The daily study of the Lesson-Sermon is a great help in our work. We appreciate the periodicals as well as all our other authorized literature, and enjoy the privilege of passing these on to others who are becoming interested in this Science. I can truly say that Christian Science is the greatest blessing that has come into our lives.
