A few months ago one of my fingers began to trouble me; but I paid little attention to it and went on with my work, all the time endeavoring to know that I could not be hindered from doing so. As the pain grew more severe, however, I complied with the wish of my relatives and consulted a physician. When he saw my hand he declared the case to be a serious one, and said that an incision must be made the whole length of the finger else blood-poisoning would set in and mean the loss of my hand. I did not have the incision made, but instead went to a Christian Science practitioner and asked her to take up treatment. The same day there was an improvement, followed by complete healing a few weeks later, without medical aid having been resorted to.
I am now able to do any kind of work without experiencing inconvenience. I thank God from the depths of my heart for the help received in this instance, and I am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for having shown us the way to Truth and how to attain the right knowledge of God.
