I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done...
I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done for me. Several years ago I was healed of what would be called tubercular disease of the throat. I could not sleep, and could not eat without forcing the food down. I was much reduced in weight, and was so tortured by mortal mind that I cannot express myself as to the way I felt, but I was weak and full of fear and worry. I could not attend to my duties, and at every opportunity I would have to lie down.
I went to a Christian Science practitioner, as my mother was determined I should go, but I had very little faith that she could help me. I can truly say, however, that relief came immediately, as I slept soundly that night for the first time in eight months. Although my healing was slow, I can say today that the same world which seemed so dreary a few years ago looks brighter than ever to me. I am thankful for the spiritual uplift and the understanding of God, and for the harmony which it has brought into our home.
For all these wonderful blessings I am sincerely thankful to God. I am also grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and to all those who helped me find this saving truth.
