Christian Science is not a mere "think you are not and you...
The Wellington (Kan.) News
Christian Science is not a mere "think you are not and you are not" method of healing. It is founded upon a divine basis, or scientific truth, with a Principle and rule of application. Man's being is not a happen-so proposition; he is the child of God, who is "the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Therefore man created in God's image and likeness must be, and is, as perfect and indestructible as the source of his being.
The question of misfortune and accident belongs to what St. Paul chose to call the "carnal mind," and such conditions have no place in the realm of reality or spiritual existence. Yet Christian Science does not disregard or refuse to take notice of these manifestations, but gives them a hearing at the bar of Truth and deals with them according to divine justice. As the spiritual fact of being is realized by mortal man, he is able, as was Christ Jesus, scientifically to correct every discordant and unnatural condition of human belief. Thus, through the process of spiritual discernment, the human misconception of existence yields to an understanding of the divine creation, into which nothing can enter that defileth or maketh a lie.
